This time last year, we were celebrating our associates by throwing axes, racing go-karts, and having a great time. The broad implications of the Coronavirus were on our minds as we waited for guidance from local officials and the CDC on what might happen next.
Less than a week later, the Houston rodeo was cancelled, and we packed up our work and set up shop in our homes in whatever way we could - kitchen tables, spare bedroom desks or home offices. We rolled up our sleeves and kept pushing forward to support not only our clients, but each other.
This year, on National Employee Appreciation Day, we want to express immense gratitude to our associates for many reasons, but here are a few:
Their Growth Mindset. During the height of the lockdown, associates took it upon themselves to double down on their development - finding ways to join virtual learning events, teach each other new skills, improve use of technologies, and find better ways to do things.
Their Commitment to Each Other and Our Customers. We watched in awe as our associates leaned in to help each other as they juggled managing their own well-being and caring for loved ones of all ages. They stepped in to cover for each other when someone needed help and acted as distributors of resources that empowered our clients and people to cope with and navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their GRIT and Resiliency. Despite all odds, our team didn’t lose sight of the big picture or give up. They remained hopeful and shifted to accommodate the evolving needs of the business and our clients with grace. This is truly a group of talented people focused on the marathon, not the sprint.
One of the most exciting parts of our joining the Force family of brands is that we get to continue to work with this exceptionally kind, hard-working and talented group of people.
